Educated at Edinburgh and Oxford Brookes Universities, Robin has over 25 years professional planning experience in both the local authority and private consultancy sectors and has a thorough knowledge and experience of the Scottish and English planning scenes.

His knowledge and experience of planning legislation and Central Government and Council policies and procedures is extensive. He has close contacts at a senior level within many local planning authorities and has a good record of negotiating difficult planning consents as well as a successful record at appeals.

Robin advises farmers, estates and landowners on a range of planning issues including renewable energy developments and has built up a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of wind turbine developments.
