Charles is a consultant based in the Newmarket office and provides business management to rural enterprises across East Anglia and the East Midlands. He is expert at drafting budgets, cashflow forecasts and business reviews as well as advising about direct aid and environmental stewardship schemes. Although most of his experience is with combinable crops and intensive livestock, in 2014 he won the British Friesian stock judging competition.
As a Fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers and qualified rural surveyor, Charles also undertakes landlord & tenant work and planning applications on behalf of clients. In the latter capacity he has been involved in several wind energy and anaerobic digestion projects across the UK.
During the Freshstart initiative aimed at getting young people into farming, Charles facilitated two academies in the East of England. He has also carried out various work for the Agriculture Horticulture Development Board including the second edition of the Blueprint for Pig Buildings Design & Build, and a Cropbench group in the Northampton area.
